Luke Sawyer, Don Luxe, is an independent rock artist and producer from Upland, CA. Inspired by his father’s love for music, Luke began listening to The Beatles, Radio Head, Nirvana, and many other influential rock bands early in his life. As his music discovery expanded into contemporary genres, Luke began blending electronic production techniques with the traditional instruments he grew up listening to.
His debut project “Fortune Teller” was released in 2018 consisting of 10 tracks. Since then, Don Luxe has released a self-titled EP, three singles, and was an executive producer for Draft Day, an Inland Empire collaborative rap album. He is currently working out of Chrome Studios, an open creative space which he helped found.
Don Luxe is in the process of releasing his album “Mancala,” where fans get to experience a new track and visual from the project every two weeks. Mancala has been in progress since the start of the pandemic and focuses on observations of Luke’s hardships as well as world events and societal changes. After the release of “Mancala” Luke and the Don Luxe band plan to dedicate themselves to performing live shows until the next album is underway.
